Shrink wrap and shrink hoods can secure every pallet reliably. In order to do so, the shrink wrap is pulled over the packed items and heated. Through the heating and subsequent cooling, the film closes around the products and secures them tightly. However the amount of material required for this is high, for which reason pallets are only secured in this way for external transportation. Furthermore, the heat effect required for this can prove problematic with some products.
